Letter from Father Odongo

Dear friends

So much has happened since I last communicated with you.   Of course, I was out of the parish and country for some months for a re-fresher course in Italy.   There I managed to visit some of the church's historical places for my spiritual and apostolic renewal.   On my return, I was to be the acting Rector of Consolata Seminary and the Parish priest of "Our Lady of Peace" parish in Nampula.   This consumed a lot of my time such that I could not keep my website up-to-date.

As I indicated some time back in one of my "letter from the Father" that a missionary is always on the move to fulfil the mission of Christ "go...and make disciples of all nations..." I am, once more, communicating with you from a new mission!

This time, from the Arquidiocese of Nampula, I was transferred to work in the Arquidiocese of Maputo as curate of two parishes: Paróquia da Santa Teresa do Menino Jesus (Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish) - Liqueleva and Paróquia da Nossa Senhara da Assunção (Our Lady of Assumption Parish) - Librdade.   I was also appointed the superior of the community.

Both parishes are located in the Municipality of Matola within the capital city of Maputo.   And as usual, I count with your help and prayers for this new apostolate.

Thank you very much for your endless collaboration.   May God bless you and continue to keep us united.

Fr. Phelix.
